Alyx Harch is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in the fusion of abstract painting and fiber materials. Alyx’s work is first and foremost gestural. She has a distinctive visual language that is communicated through mediums such as garments and handmade paper. She was born and raised in New Orleans and received a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has exhibited in multiple galleries throughout the Chicago area, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit, was a 2019 Resident at ACRE Residency in Steuben, Wisconsin, and was selected by Virgil Abloh as the Visual Artist Mentor for the NikeLab Re-Creation Center in Chicago. Alyx is currently living in Chicago and is working as a Registered Nurse.

HARCH is a fashion brand created by artist, Alyx Harch. She uses the sewing machine as a drawing tool and approaches the framework of garment-making similarly to how a painter treats canvas.
